About this Event
Come explore and reclaim the joyous woman’s body in this playful and deep expressive series designed for anyone who identifies as a woman. This transformative workshop invites you to explore the historical and societal narratives that have disconnected women from their bodies. Drawing inspiration from The Joyous Body: Myths & Stories of the Wise Woman Archetype by Clarissa Pinkola Estés, we’ll delve into stories, myths, and reflections that celebrate the sacred wisdom and resilience of the female form. Together, we’ll engage in somatic movements, breathing, meditation, body scanning, and improvisational dance to cultivate a deeper understanding and acceptance of ourselves. Through movement, guided discussions and journaling, we’ll rewrite the stories imposed on us, creating a new narrative of safety, empowerment, and joy in our bodies. This workshop is a sacred space for healing, expression, and connection, designed for those identifying as women that seek to embrace their inner wild woman.
