On Saturday, October 4th, 2025, take part in the inaugural Wild Walk, powered by Booster Juice, at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo and enjoy a morning filled with fun, fresh air, and wildlife. Each step you take is a step supporting animals at the zoo, with all walk proceeds going to animal care and conservation.Wild Walk participants can choose from two start times, 9:00 a.m. or 9:15 a.m., to begin a route through the zoo from Jayman BUILT Plaza towards Asia Lawn. Along the route, participants will have exclusive access to the zoo and encounter special animal enrichment moments, photo opportunities, and the lively entertainment of the Wilder Bunch for an unforgettable morning in support of wildlife conservation.
Wild Walk builds on a beloved tradition that began in 2004 with the Gorilla Run—a volunteer-led fundraiser supporting the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo’s conservation efforts. Over the years, the event evolved in both name and format, becoming the Wild Run through a long-standing partnership with Run Calgary, which continued through 2024. Now, this vibrant community event enters an exciting new chapter —inviting everyone to lace up their walking shoes to support wildlife conservation.
Every dollar raised at this inaugural event helps wildlife and wild places. Participants are encouraged to fundraise, with top fundraisers and teams winning exclusive prizes and experiences.
