About this Event
Join us to learn a bit about wild local weeds and native plants and their medicinal benefits. We will cook up a Dandelion Root tea latte and make a Cottonwood bud anti inflammatory salve you can take home. We will also create artwork from pressed botanicals with a gelli plate printing process.
Cost is $45 to attend.
Teacher: Meghan Ballard
Meghan Ballard holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Portland State University and has done graduate-level coursework in Environmental Education. She has more than 20 years of experience in environmental education engaging K-12 science classes in stream and wetland restoration projects. She is owner and teacher of Blue Mountain Nature School, a member of the Blue Mountains Conservancy board of directors.
