Event Information:
Roosevelt Diggs- It is not only heart, but blood that unites the core of Roosevelt Diggs. At its base: Two brothers, Levi and Logan Duddles, who have spent a lifetime creating and writing music together. With the addition of the musical backbone of Jon Shears on the upright bass and Jeff Leitch on percussion, they transformed from two brothers picking on stringed instruments to a band with a fire inside.Musically, Roosevelt Diggs finds itself in the long-standing Michigan tradition of acoustic based music. Blending Folk, Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Rockabilly and Rock and Roll into a melting pot of true Americana, Roosevelt Diggs proudly carries on this tradition and brings a genuine approach to acoustic music. The Wild Honey Collective formed in the summer of 2020 to perform original songs and traditional American folk music. Singers and songwriters Tommy McCord, Danielle Gyger, Timmy Rodriguez, and Dan OBrien, joined shortly thereafter by pedal steel guitarist Adam Aymor and drummer Joel Kuiper, launched the project in rural Michigan as a back porch acoustic gathering purely for the love of music in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The rootsy and unassuming beginning of the band led to the immediate recording of the 2021 The Wild Honey Collective: Volume 1 full-length debut album, which Local Spins described as having its feet firmly rooted in classic country and folk while daring to allow its head to explore the technicolor clouds of psychedelia. Tony Halchak is a Northeast Pennsylvania singer-songwriter and artist currently based in Western Michigan. Halchaks calls his style of music Black Diamond Americana, mixing Americana through the blue collar lens of the historic coal mining towns he grew up in. He has released 4 full-length records
