After causing a furor with their explosive Madcats debut in September, Chicago’s own folk-punk rebels return to ignite the stage. With roots in Moldova and a sound forged in fire, Fugu Dugu blends searing violin riffs, multilingual vocals, and punk energy into a high-octane celebration of Eastern European chaos. Currently recording their second album, they’re bringing fresh, unreleased material and the raw power that’s made them one of the most talked-about bands on the scene.

A one-man-band and total force of nature, Jaik Willis plays an 11-piece drum set with his feet while tearing through guitar, bass, and harmonica — all while beatboxing and singing in real time. No loops. No backing tracks. Just one man, all fire. Equal parts virtuoso and street preacher, he’s a full-body musical experience.
