How? By co-creating monthly gatherings in which we explore and experience new ways to build a relationship with the Earth. Join and share your practice, insights and ideas.
Δ• WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT •Δ
Each gathering is a co-creation in which we want to grow an ecological consciousness. It is a bit of a retreat, a workshop, an nursery ('broedplaats') for new ideas, all wrapped in one. During our gatherings we immerse in nature, meditate, create ceremonies, explore new ideas, do different movement practices and - last but not least - celebrate through singing, dancing, art making.
Every gathering looks to move beyond our everyday consensus reality. Curious? Come and join us in exploring the wilderness in- and outside us!
Δ• FACILITATOR(S) •Δ
Like many indigenous cultures we assume that all of us have unique gifts to share with the world. We also believe that we need a diverse tribe of change makers in order to shape this spiritual ecological movement. The gatherings are therefore facilitated by a core team that very much welcomes your input and ideas. As a guideline we ask you to participate at least two times in a gathering before making a contribution.
Léon Beckx has a professional background as a psychologist and a dancer. He became a 5Rhythms teacher in 2008, and beside part-time teaching he further specialized in somatics, martial arts, dance improvisation and theatre. In recent years Léon is involved in Ecstatic Dance as ceremony leader, DJ and educator. Since 2006 Leon works as lead facilitator in programs aimed at community building and cultural sensitivity.
Peter Luijten initiated these gatherings, after participating in Bill Pfeiffer's Wild Earth Intensive in the United States. He is an experienced workshop host, serves as projectleader at the Institute for Nature Education and is Ecstatic Dance organizer and DJ. His drum will guide us into ceremony.
Chloë Monteiro and Gijs Dev Niranjan founded the Meditatietuin. By meeting them we found not only the perfect venue in nature, but also common purpose. They will participate in our gatherings, sharing their gifts like 'The Inner Song' and voice- and bodywork exercises.

Time: 13.30 to 16.30. From 13:15 you are welcome for tea & chocolate.
Take some extra time to find De Meditatietuin, when coming to our centre for the first time.

Δ• LOCATION •Δ
De Meditatietuin is located in the heart of the Amsterdam Amstelpark at Amstelpark nr. 6. The studio is in the middle of the park, surrounded by nature. It is the low building between het Rietveld Huis en het Glazen Huis. Google Maps will guide you the way!
Cars and bikes need to be parked outside of the park. Schedule about 10 minutes extra time to walk to De Meditatietuin studio in the park from the Red Bridge or main entrance (next to restaurant Rosarium).

Refunds are only possible when the event will be postponed/canceled or when your participation is not possible due to symptoms related to COVID-19.
Due to COVID-19 we take extra safety requirements:
- the number of participants is limited to 11 people per gathering
- the 1,5 meter distance between participants should be respected at all times
- Please disinfect or wash your hands with soap at arrival.
- Please inform us if you have any symptoms such as a cold or fever before the gathering will take place. In case of complaints, please stay at home. You can either use your ticket for the next gathering if possible or your ticket will be refunded.
