About this Event

Location Details - Carderock Recreation Area (North Parking Lot)

Please note that GPS may not be accurate. Please carefully read directions at the bottom of this page so you know where to find us in Carderock. The park is large and there are several parking lots.

When you enter the park, turn right at the T junction and drive to the very end of the road. You will pass other parking lots. You will park in the very last lot. Look for “Wild Earth Spiritual Community” sign next to the main path and restrooms. Follow the path next to the restrooms and walk a very short distance, looking for a sign located on the left. At the sign, turn left and walk into the woods. Signs through the woods will direct you to our exact location. For those who have joined us in the past, we will be at the same site as we have gathered previously.

More details included below.

WILD EARTH GATHERING DETAILS

Being, Boldness, and Your Wild Edge

Sunday, October 6th 3:00 Carderock

We are called to co-create a new world. Where do we even begin? Like the “Old Woman Weaving” we simply begin, honing our presence in work that makes a difference even though we can’t know how it will or what will unfold. Where is your Wild Edge? How might we help we one another walk alongside this curious place where everything changes?

You’re welcome to join us at 2:45 for drumming. Friends, we’ve floundered a bit in our drumming circle. I personally hope we can commit to keeping this practice alive. If not, let’s talk.

Please know that if you haven’t been with us before, you’ll need to carefully follow the directions (in your registration) to our spot in Carderock. You won’t find us otherwise!

MORE LOCATIONS DETAILS

Restrooms – Restrooms are available at this site.

Terrain – We will have a very short walk along a dirt path to the gathering site which is mostly flat and even. If you are concerned, please bring a walking stick.

Filming and Photos – We would like to take photos of the program to post untagged on our website and Facebook page. Please let us know if you would rather not be photographed. Otherwise, we will assume photographs are okay.

Latecomers – If you don’t see us in the parking area, please follow signs for "Wild Earth Spiritual Community" to our gathering site.

Contributions – We will be collecting donations to support our work in organizing these free, monthly Wild Earth Spiritual Community gatherings. We are so grateful for your contributions and for making it possible for us to continue offering opportunities for deepening one's spirituality in nature.
