We are thrilled to have Louise from Wild Mount Morgan Clay join us at Aphrodite Art School in the coming months to lead us through the process of hand-building with wild local clay.Louise will guide the group through the process of creating clay vessels as well as the beautiful technique of scgraffito which is an ancient method of decorating pottery applying layers of color or colored slips to pottery and then scratching off parts of the layer to create contrasting images, patterns and texture and reveal the clay color underneath.
Louise will fire our works of art for us and return them to East hall where they can be collected.
We are also very excited to have Louise join us for a very special bonus workshop! For any students that wish to turn their beautiful new pieces into georgous natural candles, Lousie will be returning to East Hall to show us just how. This second session is an optional add on for an additional $50 for returning students.
