The Wild Cider Cup: A Conservancy Competition is celebrating wild cider and local conservancies! You may recognize the cider name W.A.R.P., which we have partnered with the Hudson Taconic Lands (formerly the Rensslear Plateau Alliance) on for quite a few years now. We have expanded this program to now include Hudson Taconic Lands, Saratoga PLAN, and the Columbia Land Conservancy. Each of these wonderful organizations picked apples in Fall 2024 with their incredible volunteers, and now those ciders are ready!
On May 18 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm we will be hosting the Wild Cider Cup - a blind taste test of the three ciders produced. Each ticket comes with a tasting glass and a sample of the three ciders. You will then rank them from favorite to least favorite, and the winning conservancy will get an extra donation! The winner will be announced at 3:30 (gives us a little time to count the ballots)!
*A portion of the proceeds from each cider will go to their respective conservancies.
