We are back with a weekly bush school opportunity for home school families!Meeting every Thursday at private property in Holgate on the Central Coast.
For those of you who are yet to meet us, we aim to create safe spaces for children to build a strong relationship with the natural world, and there is no better way to do that than through curiosity and play! Each session has a mixture of bush skills, games & nature awareness.
We love seeing young ones thrive in nature, many of the bush skills we teach build confidence, encourage team work and connection to nature.
Some of the skills include:
Friction fire methods
Natural String making
Foraging
Shelter Building
Plant ID
The world of birds
Tracking and more
Each week we delve into nature news, encouraging everyone to pay attention to what is happening in the bush around them and share it, each session has a theme but is always subject to change depending on the weather.
Our initial 4-week program will commence on Thursday 20th February
Following dates:
27th Feb
6th March
13th March
Beginning at 10am
Finishing at 3pm
Prices:
Per Child: $240 for 4 weeks
2 Siblings: $320 for 4 weeks
3 Siblings: $480 for 4 weeks
Ages 7 - 15 years
Location: Wild Feather Studio, Holgate NSW
Parents are welcome to stay or drop off. There is an area indoors for parents to do any kind of laptop work if needed.
Mentors have current WWCC and Wilderness FirstAid plus a minimum of 5 years experience in nature based mentoring & facilitation.
