🌿 Fancy learning to make your own Natural Toiletries?
🫧Join us at Wild Harvest in the rural outskirts of York for a Learn to Make Your Own Natural Toiletries Day.
Price includes all materials and refreshments.
There is a loo and free easy parking at the venue.
Come to Wild Harvest in the rural outskirts of York for a day of learning how to make your own natural body products. The day will start with a presentation 'Why Go Natural' looking at some of the common chemicals in our beauty products and reasons we should go natural.
🧴 You will learn how the botanical and mineral resources around you can be used as:
Cleaners
Nourishers
Colours
Scents
We will then make...
two bars of soap, one clear, one goat milk
pink clay and rose drawing and nourishing facemask
tinted lip/cheek tint - we love a one pot wonder. Go red or barely there.
fat-based toothpaste using a local U.K grown root for antimicrobial action.
the richest most nourishing body butter
Repairing, smoothing face highlighter - it hides dark eye circles whilst highlighting your cheek bones.
All 100% natural, not using tropical imports. Wild Harvest is especially keen to get you to think about beauty miles and how we can use what is around us instead of far flung imports such as cocoa, shea and coconut butters.
🧠This day will blow your mind about the power of plants for use in beauty. You will save a fortune on expensive beauty products, we even tell you how to replace those expensive A.H.A products using simple plants around you. 🍏
We will end with a Q&A session with Di where you are encouraged to begin to create some recipe ideas for yourself.
👩🏻‍🌾About Your Tutor.
Di Hammill Page had an unusual upbringing raised by her chemist 'hippy' Father and her ex soldier Grandfather. She grew up learning to mix chemicals from her Dad while her Grandfather taught her the traditional remedies used in war times.
A qualified adult education teacher Di infuses the sessions with fun, cram-packed facts about plants and how to best extract their chemicals into various mediums for personal use. Through Wild Harvest School she empowers you into practical application of your new skills going forward with tips and resources to continue the journey. She has spoken on National Stages about plants and how to use them for food, toiletries and medicine, been on Radio1 giving advice on how to make your own toiletries and even taught Countryfile Presenters.
PRICE: £85 per person for the full-day course, includes all the products made and refreshments.
VENUE: Wild Harvest School, in the rural outskirts of York, in a cosy cabin with a woodburner, easy free parking and a proper loo. Bring a packed lunch to have around the fire circle.
