Wikicurious – The History of Austin, Texas
Wikicurious – The History of Austin, Texas is happening on Monday, March 9 from 1pm - 5pm and is hosted by WMNYC and the Austin Public Library (APL) - Central Library. This community editing event during SXSW EDU invites Wikipedia editors and newcomers alike to learn, collaborate, and improve articles related to the history of Austin, Texas. Participants will explore local history through open knowledge, contribute to Wikipedia, and share editing skills in a welcoming, hands-on environment.
This event falls within Wikipedia's 25th anniversary and APL's Centennial Celebrations.

Registration and Instructions
Attendees must have a Wikipedia account to edit pages, please create your account (in the top right corner) before the event. Wikipedia usernames are public. You do not have to use your real name, it is recommended to use a pseudonym or nickname for your username.
