Wiki Loves Pride is an annual Wikipedia editing campaign running each June. This workshop is hosted by Wikimedia Community Ireland in partnership with Pride of the Déise, now in its third year in Waterford.
Participants will create and improve Wikipedia articles on LGBTQ+ people, history, and culture. The session runs bilingually in Irish and English. Writing is open to all languages. No prior Wikipedia experience is needed.
Previous sessions have produced Wikipedia articles on Garter Lane Arts Centre and Irish LGBTQ+ activist Izzy Kamikaze.
Laptops and devices will be available on the day, or bring your own.
