Investigate the historic Wigwam! The Society office, The Wigwam Museum. This building, which rests on the foundation of the original Wigwam Saloon, once owned by John Wesley Hardin, is the Trost version of The Wigwam Theater and the State Theater. Our museum houses a personal collection of items that recreate El Paso’s past and a collection of ghosts in residence.
Built in 1883 as the Fashion Saloon, the Fashion was the first saloon in El Paso to have electric lights. In 1889, it became the Wigwam and the Wigwam quickly became one of the top 5 elite saloons in El Paso.
Gather your history and ghost hunting loving friends and experience the hauntings of the Wigwam.
We require a minimum of four investigators at $25 each per hour. You will have the opportunity to explore the entire building. Who is the couple seen in period dress in the lower level of the museum? Who is Lily, a female who enjoys the company of men, especially soldiers or men in uniform, and will interact with them?
Bring your favorite paranormal equipment or borrow the society’s.
Dates and times vary according to your requests. Friday and Saturday nights are recommended.
Complimentary bottled water, tea, hot chocolate, and coffee provided.
$25 a person per hour.
