Widening the Circle: Forum Sunday
“Widening the Circle” is our quarterly theme for July through September. The word “circle” is often used as a metaphor for community. How do we define our circles? How big do we draw them? How rigid are the boundaries? Who is in our inner circle? Who isn’t? What might it mean for us to widen our circle(s), and how would we do that?
Linda Larson will lead a discussion about these ideas, including references to the UUA’s 2020 report “Widening the Circle of Concern.”https://www.uua.org/uuagovernance/committees/cic/wideningcal
This will be structured as a “forum” service, which means that each person attending will have the opportunity to weigh in, with a time limit. We will only be able to scratch the surface of this topic, but we hope it is a conversation that will continue.
