Saying “no” can feel like walking a tightrope. You want your children to have independence and make their own choices - but some days, every request feels like a battle. You want to be kind, but firm. You want boundaries that stick, without tears, arguments, or feeling like the “bad parent.”

This 5-week workshop series is for parents who want to understand why saying no can be so tricky - and how to find the middle ground between letting children make choices and staying firm when it matters. It’s practical, grounded in child development, and psychoeducational, not therapy.

We won’t be covering behaviour management or reward charts here - this isn’t about controlling behaviour. Instead, we focus on helping you feel calm, confident, and consistent in your boundaries, with strategies that fit real-life family life.

Across the five sessions, you’ll explore:

• Setting boundaries that are clear, predictable, and age-appropriate
• Why children push back and how to respond calmly without giving in
• How to hold your ground while staying empathetic and connected
• Practical ways to follow through consistently
• How to manage your own stress, guilt, and triggers in the moment

You’ll also have the chance to bring your own real-life examples from home, so the strategies you learn are immediately relevant and personalised. By the end of the series, you’ll feel more confident in your boundaries, better able to balance flexibility and firmness, and equipped with tools that make daily life smoother for both you and your child.
