About this Event
The Labour Party under the leadership of Keir Starmer has moved to the right. Since 2021 Keir Starmer has insisted Labour must be “pro-business”, and “the party of working people” only so far as that fits in. Some on the left no longer feel able to call for a Labour vote. So why does Workers Liberty call for a Labour vote?
Workers Liberty believes that Labour is still the party linked to the labour movement. We continue the battle to transform the labour movement even in adverse times. Even Labour’s wretched offer means some improvements, and there is a base in the unions and the Labour Party to push a Labour government to concessions.
July 4th will decide the political landscape for the next period. Whether you agree or disagree on the call for a Labour vote at the General Election, join us to discuss and debate the general election.
