Borrowing its title from the poet Paul Laurence Dunbar, this recital will feature mezzo-soprano Elizebeth Barnes and pianist Deborah Wagner.This recital contains four songs by Argentinian composer Carolos Guastavino, the famed Les nuits d'été by Hector Berlioz, two love songs by the late Leonard Bernstein, and a song for which the recital is named by Irene Britton Smith. This nature themed recital will take the listener on a journey of love and loss, beauty and darkness, specter and dreams.
This is now Elizebeth Barnes’ third annual recital hosted by Tri-M Productions. This will be the first held in the beautiful Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in downtown Santa Fe.
