“It is the responsibility of every adult to know their history and culture, to preserve it and then pass it on to the next generation…” ~Anthony T. Browder

Who is Anthony T. Browder?

Anthony T. Browder is an author, publisher, cultural historian, artist, and an educational consultant. He is a graduate of Howard University’s College of Fine Arts and has lectured extensively throughout the United States and five continents. Mr. Browder is the founder and director of IKG Cultural Resources and has devoted 44 years researching ancient Egyptian history, science, philosophy and culture. He has traveled to Egypt 65 times since 1980 and is currently director of the ASA Restoration Project, which is funding the excavation and restoration of three 25th dynasty tombs of Kushite noblemen on the West Bank of Luxor, Egypt.

Browder is the first African American to fund and coordinate an archeological dig in Egypt and has led more than 30 archeological missions to Egypt since 2009. Browder’s daughter, Atlantis Tye, has worked with her father in Egypt since 2010 and they are the first African American, Father-Daughter, archeological team in Egyptian History.

They have written three books since 1991.

In September, 2022 Anthony and Atlantis were enstooled in Moree, Cape Coast, Ghana, West Africa. Anthony is now Nana Segu Karakh and Atlantis is now Queen Mother Nana Praba II. The residents of Moree have traced their ancestral roots back to Ancient Egypt. Nana’s Segu and Paraba II will use their position as Chiefs to document migrations from the Nile River Valley to the Niger River Valley and the cultural transference of wisdom traditions from East Africa to West Africa to the United States.

Nana Segu Karakh has authored or co-authored 14 publications which are currently used in classrooms around the world. He has produced and appeared in more than three dozen documentaries and TV interviews, and has worked in advertising and marketing.

Browder’s four decades of studying and teaching African history has led him to the conclusion that ancient Africans were the architects of civilization and developed the rudiments of what has become the scientific, religious, and philosophical backbone of mankind. It is from this framework that IKG has concentrated its research and disseminated its findings.
