Workshops description:
Foraging part 1
Wholesome introduction to foraging
Duration: 3 hours
This is a very wholesome
introductory workshop that will give an in depth understandings about plants and why foraging can help to live a healthier life and help our planet to thrive when one adds it to a lifestyle.
We will talk about where plants come from and what their life purpose is. We will learn some tools to help us with identification and understanding when we could harvest what. We will start with the asteraceae family and then explore several different plants from different families.
______
SUN DRYING WORKSHOP
While canning and preserving (including refrigeration & freezing) are extremely energy-consuming processes (relatively recent inventions of the industrial revolution time), sun drying is one of the oldest and most sustainable methods to preserve food dating back several thousands of years.
_____
FORAGING PART 2
In this part we do a quick recap of what we had learnt in the part 1 and continue to dive even further into the plant world with the help of the brassica family and then we will explore several different families.

I love talking about these guys as they can eat plastic, glyphosate, petroleum converting them into sugars they so adore. As they can help solve some global issues I think it's time to learn about them. And how to grow them so we can eat them as they are very tasty too.

About your guide: Good day, my name is Inga and I travelled a good part of the world with no savings just supporting myself playing music when anxiety wasn’t taking the best of me. I was looking for some healthier lifestyle that would be truly contributing to a better world and foraging and growing seems to be truly bringing more balance, reconnection with nature , teaching resilience, independent thinking, ingenuity yet it also connects people with their authentic selves and other people too. I find both foraging and growing are like yin and yang - none is the answer yet both balance each other and complement when it's necessary. I believe adding bit by bit all the understandings from the workshops helps our world be a better place, helps with mental and physical health while reconnecting us with our true purpose. Hope you have a lovely day, looking forward to meeting you
