This 2-day event has been created late in the day, we realise – this has been due to some unforeseen schedule changes. Thirza and I have pulled something together which we feel will be of great interest to you all!
This clinic will be for everyone, in that for spectators, it won’t just be sitting on the sidelines – you will be involved in the practical components as well.
This two-day assessment clinic, is more than just assessment and biomechanics – whilst that is a big part of it, we will be bringing in the Whole.
What does this mean? Not just the physical aspect of the Horse, not just the nervous “system” but his or her interconnection with self, the world around and their caretaker.
This will be acknowledging the DYADIC component of ANY interaction / situation with horse, caretaker and observers.
The relational field of all of this will be woven in with the assessment and biomechanics, in order to bring a clear and full picture into focus.
Let’s look at just some of the things we have planned:
Days 1 and 2 are fluid, in that we can be spontaneous with what will be covered and slide it in to either day.
Theory; with some videos on gait analysis and an interactive discussion.
Then there will be some fun practicals for Horse owners and spectators to do in the arena.
Here we will combine practicals that will bring in a felt sense of your own biomechanics.
As well as some practicals on balance, awareness, proprioception.
Participants with horses: An Hour assessment per horse on either the first OR second day (you may bring your horse for either or both days).
For the horse owner, this will be a fantastic opportunity to have Thirza one on one assess your horse, and for you to be involved in the assessment.
For spectators, this part is viewing only.
On either the first or the second day, we will be looking at Brain work – what is it? Why implement it.
Here this will be practical for horse and owner and viewing for spectators.
I will take you all through a 101 on the Window of Tolerance model beforehand and why this is very useful to have a basic understanding of this.
This can then be applied through observation and felt sense when observing Brain work.
On the evening of Day 1 (around 6pm) Thirza and I will do a joint presentation on topics TBC.
So come and JOIN us for this fun, in depth and spontaneous 2 day clinic!
