ABOUT THE SHOW
A murder mystery play by Chris Martin, from MurderPlays.com
Crime TV presenters Clem Bakewell and Darcy Spraggon are delighted to introduce a ‘Bloodhound Channel’ premiere…
The ‘Crimes from Bygone Times’ team have spared no expense (they really haven’t!) in assembling an all-star cast of actors to present one of their violent murder* reconstructions.
The crime in question took place on 13th July 1985 inside the Post Office of the twee village of ‘Windy Rannets’. You might recognise this as being the same date as the hugely influential Live Aid Pop Concert. Indeed, this brutal murder* took place not a million miles away from Wembley Stadium’s imposing twin towers.
Village sweetshop worker and stand-in Postmistress, Penny Black (played by Barbara Jolley), was the unsuspecting victim, slain in a most vicious* manner.
Suspects to the brutal attack* include…
Cole Black: Penny’s husband and the official Postmaster at Windy Rannets
Patrick Cowper: Village Postman
Vienna Cowper: Patrick’s wife and artist
Mimsy Tweedle: Local pensioner
Philip Latter-List: A mystery visitor to Windy Rannets that day
*Please note, all violence depicted within the programme has been strictly modified to comply with pre-watershed regulations.
