Who Goes There? Workshop\/Social\/Newcomer's Meeting

As the leaves begin to fall in Misty Ridge, we look forward to the indoor Feast season. As such, it is wise to be able to identify who you are sitting next to by the elements of status that they wear!
Our focus will be on the various items that gentles wear to indicate the achievements they have been recognized by the Society for and how (and when!) to use their Honorifics. Also will explore the non-official things that are custom to An Tir, but might differ in other kingdoms.
As always, bring anyone you know who is interested in learning more about the SCA in general and our tiny Canton in specific. Smalls are welcome - just advise ahead of time so that I can have appropriate materials and such for them.
Feel free to bring a project to work on in the spacious meeting room as we chat about this month's topic! Coffee and tea will be available - bringing snacks is encouraged, but not mandatory and sharing is a lovely thing to do.
We will be meeting again in the common room at the office, ADA parking is nearest the office. All others, please park in the spaces that face away from the buildings.
Smoking areas are on the sidewalks on the outside of the parking areas, away from the buildings.
-----
This activity is held and managed by the incipient Canton of Misty Ridge, a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. This is considered the official channel of the group here. Questions regarding its content should be directed to [email protected] or to [email protected]
People interacting with the event must adhere to the SCA Core values, behave with courtesy, honor, chivalry and respect, even in times of inevitable differences of opinion, and comply with SCA policy and modern law. The SCA prohibits harassment and bullying of all individuals and groups. Hate speech is not tolerated in the Society. Hate speech is speech or symbols that offend, threaten, or insult individuals or groups, based on race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability or other traits.
