Lean In Network Singapore, together with Mothership SG, invites you to join us for an evening workshop to hear untold stories about noteworthy women - and the men and women they help to succeed. Inspired by the movie of the same title, we will learn how everyday people can take immediate action steps to use what they have, empower someone else, and create a more gender-equal world. Whether it is during small interactions or from bold moves in the workplace, we are all well positioned to advocate for and support women.
By now you’ve probably heard the adage, “you can’t be what you can’t see”. Studies have shown that visible representation of women in the workplace, in the media and in certain professions is crucial in countering stereotypes about gender roles. We also know this awareness shapes the perceptions and beliefs of younger generations of girls and boys. For those of us who have walked in the footsteps of female trailblazers or been championed by them, we have the opportunity to pay it forward.
During our discussion, we will hear from two women whose work made strides in lifting up others, particularly those who have fewer opportunities and resources. We’re pleased to have Abigail Han from Project Cookoh and Jacqueline Loh from Aidha share their stories with us.
