Join us for the WHL Wallace Trolley & Walking Tour hosted by the LCHS!Hop on one of the iconic Starved Rock Trolleys as we journey to Ottawa, Il to explore two historic spots! Our first stop will be at the WHL Wallace home, known as The Oaks, which has been recently renovated. This walking tour of the home is your chance to truly step into history as we explore the halls! After this, we will visit the Wallace Dickey Cemetery, where we will explore the stories of some local Civil War soldiers.
Before or after your tour, be sure to check out our 'LaSalle County and the Civil War' exhibit at the LCHS Heritage Center. This will be the last weekend to enjoy this exhibit!
Those who join us should be prepared for walking across uneven ground, on concrete and grass alike. Please wear sturdy shoes!
Limited seats are available on our 3 tours (10am, Noon, and 2pm), so please be sure to RSVP via the link below!
Tickets will be $20 a piece- All funds raised from this event will go to support the preservation of the cemetery, managed by the Wallace Dickey Cemetery Preservation Association.
