About this Event
This week we will be: taking a short walk and doing some autumnal nature based crafts
Learn more about local wildlife and help nature to thrive in the second and fourth Thursday of each month.
Join activities including:
- woodland and river conservation tasks - directly caring for the local nature
- tree and other wildlife identification and surveying
- nature based crafts, such as christmas wreath making
- guided walks
- Wildlife photograhy using your phone camera
- learning new ways to look after nature
No experience needed - All tools and materials provided - Small group setting
Based at the The Ibis Hotel Coventry South, Abbey Rd, we will explore and help to improve the wildlife-rich local green spaces around Whitley Abbey Bridge, including the River Sherbourne itself.
Each session is built around the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, putting the needs and enjoyment of participants at the centre of all tasks.
You will:
- Learn Something New about your local wildlife
- Connect with nature
- Take Notice of the natural world around you
- Get Active with gentle walks
- Find new ways to Give Back to nature by helping to care for it
