About this Event
Starting at the ancient Whitehawk Camp, local guides Alan Cooke, Jennie James and Richard Bickers will share fascinating insights into the Neolithic history, pottery and craft heritage, and the chalk grassland habitat—its management, its vital role in supporting biodiversity, and the rich layers of the land beneath our feet.
We’ll follow the racecourse track to Racehill Orchard, enjoying the beauty of the landscape along the way. At the orchard, we’ll gather around a fire, warm up with a bowl of soup, and hear from Maddy Alexander about the orchard. We’ll also explore Imbolc—a Celtic celebration of light, fire, and the stirring of life as the sap rises and we head towards Spring.
