Join textile artist Sue Green on this one-day workshop to create a unique, textile keepsake. The process of white work trapping has been developed by Sue as a way of creating special mementoes for those special occasions.
Over the course of the day, you will learn how to trap shells, buttons, plastic rings, beads, and string between two pieces of calico fabric stretched over an embroidery hoop. As part of creating this piece, you will be introduced to a variety of hand stitches.
You will leave this workshop with the knowledge and confidence to continue and complete it at home.
You can keep the work for yourself, or gift it for a wedding or christening.
Please bring a 7- or 8-inch embroidery hoop. All other materials will be provided.
