About this Event
The event will feature an Introduction to White ribbon and what it means, a variety of stalls offering services available in Shropshire to support individuals dealing with issues such as hate crime, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, trauma, crime victimization and many more.
Additionally, there will be workshops run throughout the day that you can book in advance.

Men and Masculinity West Mercia, Working with Perpetrators of Domestic Abuse Workshop
Aims of the session:
- Understand why it is important to work with domestic abuse perpetrators.
- Barriers & myths to working with alleged domestic abuse perpetrators.
- Language & tools to engaging those who use abusive behaviours.
- Recognising increasing risks of domestic abuse.
12:30-1:30pm pm
- Lived experience.
What is Lived experience work? What are we doing in Shropshire to hear the voices of lived experience? Who can get involved? What do we hope to achieve?
1:40-2:40pm pm
- Basic introduction to Media language and images around sexual violence – We will analyse the language and images used by the media, this includes newspapers, social media ext., when they report on sexual violence, and how this adds to the victim blaming culture.
