Audition Notice: White Rabbit Red Rabbit
General Information:
White Rabbit Red Rabbit by Nassim Soleimanpour
Presented by Big Dawg Theatre Company
Performance Dates: February 12–15 and 19–22, 2026, at The Ruth and Bucky Stein Theater at Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts.
Big Dawg Theatre Company is seeking bold, curious, fearless performers of any race, gender identity, or background, ages 25 and up. This production is a unique theatrical event: each performer appears for ONE night only. There are no rehearsals, no director, and no access to the script until the performer opens a sealed envelope onstage. The performer will read the script for the first time in front of the audience. Improvisation skills are helpful but not necessary.
About the play:
White Rabbit Red Rabbit is an unpredictable theatrical experiment in which each performer encounters the script for the first time onstage. Written by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour while he was forbidden from leaving his country by the government, the piece explores autonomy, communication, and the nature of performance. Each night is a completely unique event. To say more would spoil the mystery. The play uses humor and drama to address issues of conformity and authoritarianism.
