Whisky Galore & Wild Estate are delighted to announce the development of an inaugural Solo Piping Championship for 2021.This is an invitation only event and the first of its kind in New Zealand. Wild Estate has partnered with headline sponsor Whisky Galore to bring this event together.
Whisky Galore are New Zealand’s whisky specialists dedicated to selecting, importing and distributing the very finest single malt and blended whiskies from Scotland and around the world. Few things encapsulate the spirit of Scotland quite like a dram and the sound of bagpipes making this a perfect partnership.
The event will take place at Wild Estate located on beautiful Waiheke Island. The fire place will be roaring, with amazing food and drink on offer for what is sure to be a fantastic evening.
The format for the evening will start with a MSR set, followed by dinner and concluding with the Medley performances.
The winner will receive a $1200 cash prize.
Invited to compete are: Greg Wilson, Stuart Easton, Liam Kenaghan, Willie Rowe, Campbell Wilson and Alasdair MacKenzie (Wildcard).
