Whiskey Moonface, our final act of the year, are a genuinely unique band. They have been here once before - almost exactly six years ago to the day, and I think its fair to say that they were a revelation.Their music is very different to anything you might have heard before but is undoubtedly folk music โ and yet completely different. Based around double bass, accordion, and clarinet, theyยดre led by the superb vocals and hallucinatory lyrics of singer Louisa Jones.
The music has been variously described as alt-folk, blues, klezmer, balkan, gypsy jazz - and it includes all of those things and more.
When they played for us before the response was fantastic and we are genuinely delighted to get them back โ do not miss this one!
