Description:Join Chef Tommy Tucker, a Columbus State graduate and accomplished baker, for an immersive two-day cake-baking and decorating class. This hands-on experience is perfect for those looking to master the art of cake making and decoration.
What You’ll Learn:
- Day 1 (Tue, Nov 12, 2025, 5:00 PM): Bake a classic white cake from scratch and craft the perfect American buttercream frosting.
- Day 2 (Tue, Nov 13, 2025, 5:00 PM): Learn cake decorating techniques, including applying a crumb coat and practicing intricate decorative piping. Chef Tucker will demonstrate various piping styles, allowing you to perfect your skills on your cake.
At the end of the class, you’ll take home your beautifully decorated layer cake to enjoy and share!
Location: Mitchell Hall at Columbus State Community College, 250 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, OH 43215
Cost: $150 per guest (covers both sessions)
Age Requirement: Open to ages 15 and up.
Additional Information:
Classes are limited to 16 students to ensure a personalized experience.
Participants will be standing, cooking, and working for most of the class. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and tie back any long hair.
If you have food allergies, contact us in advance, as recipe changes cannot be made on the day of the class.
