Weather or Not is a solo exhibition by local artist Bert Gilbert, featuring evocative metal and mixed media sculptures that grapple with the tensions between permanence and impermanence, form and formlessness. With a background rooted in sculpture and painting, and a practice reignited later in life, Gilbert draws on industrial materials, personal history, and found objects to create works that are both structurally bold and conceptually rich.
Through cast iron, salvaged steel, and repurposed everyday detritus, Gilbert explores themes of memory, contradiction, and cultural decay—offering viewers a space to question, reflect, and connect.
