The final celebration event and sharing for Curious Art's LGBTQIA+ heritage project, When You Were Me.
About this Event

The final session of our LGBTQIA+ heritage project - When You Were Me - is happening on 28th July.


Join us for a walk through the city with Incursions and local historians, following the alternative history map of the city that has been made during the project. Celebrating and spotlighting Newcastle’s LGBTQIA+ history.


When You Were Me is being funded by Historic England’s History in the Making grant programme and also supported by Discovery Museum, Lit and Phil, One Strawberry Lane and Theatre Royal.


For LGBTQIA+ Taking part is free, sign up required.

28th July, Sunday 28th July, walk starting at Northern Stage at 4pm


About: Join our historians as we celebrate Newcastle's LGBTQIA+ heritage - focusing on places, spaces and people. We will be following the alternative history map of the city and artwork that has been made during the project, highlighting LGBTQIA+ North-East history.


The walk will be followed by a two course meal and sharing at the Magic Hat from 6pm - 7:30pm
