A free space of research, a common ground of exploration, a new adventure every year.WHEN THE BOUGH BREAKS will be our latest production, after "Towards the Hothouse" (Pinter), "The Three Penny Opera" (Brecht), "As You Like It" (Shakespeare), "The Funeral Game" (Orton) and most recently, "The Importance of Being Earnest" (Wilde).
We are really proud to introduce, for the first time in Italy, this work by the great poet and novelist Alistair Te Ariki Campbell, a New Zealander with Maori roots . "When the Bough Breaks" (1970), deals with recurrent themes of Campbell's literature: the conflictual relationship between European and Indigenous culture, individual and social mental health, the role of man and woman in modern society.
We will explore together the play in a first phase, and present a first "studio" towards the beginning of Summer 2025.
We are pleased to welcome new explorers to work with us on this new, exciting production.
