About this Event
The Conservatory is home to many tropical and edible plants, a visitor favorite is our Ponserosa Lemon Tree, which is thought to be a chance hybrid between a lemon and a citron. After recent genetic testing, the ponserosa lemon is thought to also be related to a Pumelo.
Ponderosa lemons can range between 2 to 5 pounds each!
Join us for this rare portunity to enjoy sweet and savory treats made from zest and juice from the ponderosa lemons. We'll also have fun and informtive lemon centric activities like lemon seed planting, lemon painting with local artist, Joelle Hanton, and a sour selfie station.
