In this richly illustrated presentation, JES Scholar-in-Residence Dr. Michael DeSanctis will offer participants a way of appreciating works of visual art, architecture, music and literature that challenge their existing definitions of what's "pleasurable" to the mind and senses. Concrete examples from each of these genres will be examined with the hope of provoking a lively discussion. *Online registration will close at 11:55 p.m. the day before the event. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event by calling or visiting the JES office by 1:00 p.m.
