Welcome to Bike Peoria's first wheelchair maintenance and repair workshop! This is for all manual wheelchair users and people who may support them. This event is free to attend, courtesy of Bike Peoria and volunteers.Volunteer mechanics at our Bike Peoria Co-op have a lot of experience sharing how to fix things on bicycles, and the overlap with wheelchairs is huge. Let's get together at Founders Circle in the middle of Bradley University to go over some common maintenance and repair topics for manual wheelchairs.

9:00-9:20 welcome and introductions (snacks and hydration provided!)
9:20-9:50 changing a tire

Location: Founder's Circle at Bradley University
The school's only address for this is 1500 W Bradley Ave, but you will go through parking lots or sidewalks to the center of campus where the statue of Lydia Moss Bradley stands at ground level near parking in front of Bradley Hall, where you will find us under a blue Bike Peoria canopy tent. Note this event will be outside, so dress for potential heat and sun.
You can pre-register for free here: bike-peoria-wheelchair.eventzilla.net
Pre-registration is not an absolute requirement -- people are welcome to show up if they could not register ahead of time -- but it would really help us have an idea of how many people to expect.
PLEASE share this event in any form (inviting friends, sending the link directly, posting on social media, shouting into the hills) to help us reach others who could benefit from this workshop. Thank you!
