This two-day intermediate workshop focuses on creating impressive tankards that are perfect for toasting life’s best moments. Prior experience with wheel throwing and basic pottery techniques will help you get the most out of this creative challenge as you work with 2 to 2.5 pounds of clay.
Day 1: Throw your tankard, focusing on strong walls and sturdy proportions—no wimpy cups here!
Day 2: Attach a robust handle and add your personal decorative touch with sprigs and stamped designs. Make it uniquely yours!
For intermediate potters comfortable with 2+ pounds of clay. Each participant creates one tankard ready for toasting your pottery skills (or impressing friends). All materials and tools provided. After the workshop, we will glaze your creation for you, or you can return to glaze it yourself for a truly personalized finish.
