Join Amy Smoot in this intermediate wheel throwing workshop! This class will focus on improving the skills learned in an introductory or 1 day course. Students will dive into repetitive techniques like wedging, centering, and pulling cylinders to build up muscle memory. Students will focus on the process more than what they keep; this means a lot of practicing and even dissecting your pieces to study how to do better on the next one. Students can expect to keep and glaze 5 to 6 of their best pieces. This course will also go over trimming your pots, surface decoration techniques, and includes a glaze day. Class will be held November 3, 4, 5, 6, with a glaze day on the 13th. Class meets 11:30-1:30 each day listed.
