In this introductory course, students will learn how to prepare clay for throwing, as well as proper posture at the potter’s wheel. Demonstrations held each class will cover the different steps of centering clay on a wheel, throwing cylinders, bowls and plates, and finishing pots with various slips, stains, and glazes

ART SUPPLIES: Adult students must supply their own materials based on course outline or purchased from the instructor if indicated.
ATTIRE: Please dress in clothing that reflects the nature of the activity. Your clothing may get messy from the materials and media utilized in your class. Also, closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
