Join Spinster & Hag at Democracy* to connect with the natural turning and wisdom of the seasons! These bi-monthly popup gatherings encompass art, tarot, community, food, reflection, and celebration. Each gathering’s spell’craft’ will be documented and compiled along with responses to a writing prompt in a community zine that will be available for free pickup at the next event.
This gathering aligns with the Gaelic traditional festival Imbolc, found at the halfway point between the winter solstice and spring equinox. While it may still feel frigid outside and snow still falls, the first signs of spring are stirring and light has begun to return.
Imbolc means "in the belly" in Old Irish. What is stirring inside of you? How can you feed and nurture your inner fire? What would you like to 'grow' in this approaching 'harvest season'?
Tickets include a guided tarot reading, a spread of delicious appetizers from Democracy*, two options for craft/art- make a doll of the goddess Brigid or 'plan your garden', and a guided reflection/ writing section.
