Join us for What's Your (Heart's) Story? - the first Love Forward Talks writing workshop!
If you haven't heard of Love Forward Talks -- check out LoveForwardTalks.com where you will see previous event recordings.
This workshop is for you if you feel like you have a story you want to tell -- whether in the form of a memoir, a book of essays, a TEDx talk -- or even a Love Forward Talk -- or just because you have stories you want to document for future generations.
How will the day go?
In the morning session, we will do exercises to open up our hearts so we can look around in there for the stories we most want to tell. Then we'll pick one and have some fun with it.
Then we'll have a lunch break. In person attendees will be served a ldelicious lunch onsite.
In the afternoon session, we'll do more exercises to tease out ideas and get started with writing. Then we'll hear from some participants who would like to share and get some coaching.
You don't have to share. You don't need to be a storyteller.
By the end of the day we hope that everyone who comes can see the value of their stories -- whether told to an audience or to a few.
Where will it be?
Join us in person at a beautiful private home in Altadena or via Zoom from wherever you are for a day created to have everyone see the value of their stories -- no matter how large an audience it may eventually have -- and see that the telling of your story could really inspire someone's heart to open, heal or light up.
Who is leading the workshop?
Your host is Bridget Fonger, is the author of Superhero of Love: Heal Your Broken Heart & Then Go Save the World which encourages people to take away the barriers to loving and being loved via a system of heart exploration. She leads workshops based on the tenets of her book such as Unpandemicize Your Heart and The Happy Single Heart. She created Love Forward Talks (like TED Talks for the heart) for people to share stories that might help us all love or be loved more. Website: www.superherooflove.com
Your co-facilitor is Tulani Bridgewater-Kowalski, who helms her management firm Bridgewater Artists Management. In addition she oversees daily operations for DDB Productions, Inc., an international management and production firm and DDB Records, which has put out Grammy award-winning titles.She is the Founder of The Writer’s Room, an online community for women writers and co-Founder of independent publisher Fauve Press.
