About this Event
Explore the ecology of the sagebrush steppe from both the plant and animal perspectives, highlighting the essential role that shrubs and wildflowers play in shaping this ecosystem and examine how human history has altered it over time.
We’ll also take a closer look at some of the steppe’s most iconic wildlife—greater sage-grouse, pronghorn, and pygmy rabbits—discussing the threats they face and the conservation work underway to protect them.
We hope you’ll join us for an evening of learning and discussion about this remarkable and imperiled landscape! This event is proudly co-sponsored by the Native Plant Society of Oregon (NPSO) and the East Cascades Bird Alliance (ECBA).
