About this Event
What’s old is new again - and the notion that all the materials we use in our everyday lives should be seen as a resource, is a growing focus once more.
In this talk we’ll take a look at some of the positive gains being made in the world of waste resources, both locally in Wellington County, and more widely.
We’ll also examine some contemporary topics such as eco-anxiety and artificial intelligence, and draw links to where they connect to waste resources.
Doors/virtual link opens at 9:45 am. There will be time for questions after the presentation. A recording will be available on the Rockwood Stone YouTube channel following the session.
Michael van Huisseling is the Programmes Coordinator for Solid Waste Services, with Wellington County.
His background in education and the arts compliment his interest in the preserving the natural environment, as he speaks with community members throughout the County at public events and delivers school programming.
