Exploring the context & responding to the needs of young people in relation to Criminal Exploitation, Gang Involvement and Youth Violence.
About this Event

A full day course, with lunch included, delivered by Bristol ROUTES - a partnership of Barnardo's and Learning Partnership West (LPW).
The Objectives of the course are to:

> examine the impact on young people vulnerable to exploitation and youth violence with due regard to the realities and challenges of marginalisation, racism, victim blaming and unconscious bias.

> explore attitudes and increase knowledge and skills relating to supporting young people affected by criminal exploitation and youth violence.

> explore responses that are young person centered, trauma informed and which promote cultural responsivity, equity, diversity and inclusion.

> gain a better understanding of gang function and form and the pressures, motivations, benefits and costs of involvement.

> be better informed, prepared and enabled to identify, respond and support young people affected by gang violence and exploitation issues.
