About this Event
Bread was the cornerstone of the English diet, sustaining families across every class. Among the middle ranks, cheate bread—a wholesome, whole-grain loaf—was a familiar favorite, and would have been a comforting treat for the Pilgrims. Join us at our wood-fired oven to mix, knead, and bake this hearty 17th-century staple using traditional methods. Then, hand-make your own butter to enjoy with your freshly baked bread.
Allergens used in this class: gluten, dairy.
