University Express Presentation by John ZachOnce upon a time, generations of visitors to local cemeteries virtually tripped over each other, tending to family graves. Now, many local gravesites have become an inconvenient responsibility, leaving maintenance to the cemetery operators. These sacred grounds which hold history and once launched new business and industry, today, attract far fewer visitors except in rare situations. Church closures have also had a negative effect on the conditions and futures of local cemeteries.
