About this Event

What is memory? How do memories shape our present and future? How do difficult memories feel like and how are they passed? And what happens if they are missed or forgotten? Our speakers will draw on recent research to discuss these and other questions from psychoanalytic, psychosocial, historical, and sociological perspectives.

The speakers:

Dr Jessica Battersby (PPS)

Emeritus Prof Karl Figlio (PPS)

Prof Michael Rope (Sociology)

Dr Zibiah Loakthar (PPS)

Moderator: Dr Magda Schmukalla

This event is part of our 30th anniversary series of themed discussions, which included events on Health, Dreams Trauma and Fantasy (09/10/2024). Check the PPS website for further information on this.

Entry is free but please register your place. Attendance is also possible via Zoom.
